What A Forwarder Does
An email forwarder sends messages addressed to one mailbox or alias to another destination. It is useful for role addresses such as sales, billing, or contact.
Create The Forwarder In cPanel
Open Forwarders, choose the domain, enter the address to forward, and add the destination address. Double-check spelling before saving.
Forwarding Is Not Always Invisible
Forwarded messages can interact with SPF and spam filtering because the forwarding server sends a message originally created elsewhere. Modern systems use additional methods to reduce these problems, but delivery is not guaranteed.
Consider A Real Mailbox For Important Addresses
For support, billing, or legal communication, a mailbox may be safer because it stores a copy on the server. You can still configure a local forwarding rule if needed.
Avoid Forwarding Loops
Do not forward address A to address B while address B eventually forwards back to A. Loops can create repeated messages and delivery failures.
Test The Setup
Send test messages from more than one external provider and confirm they arrive. Also verify replies use the correct From address.
